Banana muffins are one of my GO-TO snacks and my favourite type of muffin. When I had to go gluten and mostly dairy free - I needed to find a healthier banana muffin recipe that suited my new dietary needs. And SO I started baking! Through trial and error and a few substitutions from a recipe that was given to me back in my waitressing days when we would ALL fight over these muffins, I bring you the best banana muffin recipe you'll ever need.

Simple ingredients, no refined sugar, gluten free, and you can sub butter for vegan butter to make it dairy free! & yes - this is toddler / kid / husband approved. You can't even tell they're a healthier option, or that they're gluten free! I don't know why I had this preconceived notion that anything gluten or dairy free would taste awful. I promise you, that's far from the truth, and this muffin recipe is a prime example that you don't have to give up your favourite food items if you're gluten free.
You can also add in these vegan chocolate chips if you want to spice things up!

If you prefer a banana loaf over banana muffins, feel free to bake these into a loaf instead. You'll have to adjust the cooking time due to the pan being significantly larger.
