Caraway Home, Caraway Cookware, Non Toxic Pots and Pans - it's all the rage! I've seen NUMEROUS influencers share their feedback on the Caraway Pots and Pans, but they're all sponsored. So I wanted to create an honest review of the cookware, without the sponsorship. *I paid for these with my own money
Here's what I got from Caraway
I have been eyeing up the Gold Collection for quite some time, and quite honestly had a hell of a time picking a colour. I love the black and gold, white and gold, mint and gold, and the navy set. I ended up choosing the navy set, as I thought the mint, and white would be a lot harder to take care of, so I wanted a darker option, and the navy went on sale at Indigo = SOLD!
This cookware set includes a saucepan, frying pan, dutch oven, and sauce pan. On top of that it includes a magnetic storage solution for the pots and pans, plus a lid holder. *This was a huge seller for me, as we have a small kitchen, and organization ad functionality = the perfect solution for us. Caraway also sells a bakeware collection, and also a Food Storage Line, which I haven't invested in quite yet, but am super intrigued by! I spend A LOT of time in our kitchen, and love that Caraway offers so many products along with organized storage solutions for each product.

My First Impressions on the Caraway Pots & Pans
I don't think it's questionable about how GORGEOUS these are! They are just as stunning in person, as you see on their website. 11/10 on aesthetics! Like most non-stick pots and pans, I cannot stress enough the importance of cooking on low heat. Unless I'm boiling water, I never cook on high heat so that's nothing new to me. With that being said, boiling water (which I do every single day, sometimes twice a day) has been an adjustment to me in the kitchen cooking with these pots. The first time I tried making steamed broccoli, it never made it to the table because dinner was ready, and the water still wasn't boiling - OOPS! #fail or major win, depending on if you ask the kids vs me.
The second time, I tried cooking annie's mac and cheese for dinner and quickly figured out you just need an extra 5 (ish) minutes to allow the water to boil. Lesson learned.
Is Caraway Home pots and pans actually non toxic? I've seen many people talking about how Caraway isn't actually non toxic. While I do not fully know the answer to that, here's what I do know to be true: With ANY non-stick pan or pot, once the coating starts to scratch, and reveal the layer underneath the non stick coating - it can become toxic. So I'm not sure if that's what people are referring to.
Caraway Home claims that their ceramic coating is 100% non toxic, free of PTFE (such as teflon), PFOA, PFAs, lead, cadmium, nickel and other toxic metals. (See article here). Furthermore, caraway creates a sustainable and environmentally friendly product - which I can greatly appreciate.

Final Thoughts / Would I recommend Caraway Home Pots + Pans?
I've been using these pots and pans from Caraway for over a month now, and they still look brand new. Again, the most important thing to maintain the longevity of these is to cook on low heat.
What I've seen from numerous influencers who share sponsored content from Caraway, is they then turn around the next day using different pots and pans so I am not going to lie, I was VERY hesitant to make the investment. I can only assume they did not cook on low heat, and ruined the bottom of the pans or they lost their non stick, so they didn't want to show them after just doing a sponsorship. But to be honest, that's no fault of Caraway Home.
With that being said: so far, I'm loving everything about them. I've been BABYING them, and that's most likely why they still look brand new. If you choose to make the investment, just know you will have to take good care of them if you want them to last. That means numerous things:
cook on low heat
wash and dry by hand after using them
NEVER use metal utensils in pots and pans
only use wooden, rubber, silicone etc.
avoid drastic temperature changes (this can crack them)
don't use an abrasive sponge on them (ex. steel wool or other harsh abrasive cleaning materials / chemicals).
don't store food in your pots and pans
Most non stick pots and pans are supposed to last 1-7 years. I will do a 1 year update and see how they're doing at that point in time. I currently use the Caraway Set at every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
I was recently asked by quite a few people how they compare to the Always Pan by Our Place, and I do not currently have an answer to that. Let me know in the comments if you'd like to see a Caraway VS Our Place
